Chat in
the living room or relax on the old porch swing. Full breakfast.
Located in north central Illinois. The farm dates back five generations to the owner's great-great grandparents who settled here in 1845, cleared the land, and built a log cabin. The original 13 room farmhouse was destroyed by fire in 1917 and replaced by a 10 room house that now stands on the same site. Evergreen pine trees serve as wind- breakers on three sides of the farm building giving it the name "Evergreen Farm." The house has been completely redecorated to reflect the earlier days of the 1900's. Many of the original antiques furnish the rooms. This picturesque "bed and breakfast" is located in a farming community. |
| A friendly "welcome"
awaits guests in this large country home. You are welcome to sit and relax or
chat in the living room or in a old swing or rocker on one of the porches. Enjoy
complete rest with no traffic. Lawn games are available.
Marshmallow Retreat is a five acre site located on the farm. A gazebo and fire pit are available for picnics. A small lake is stocked with fish and offers good catches. This is a beautiful place to enjoy the outdoors and nature at its best. I trust that your visit will give you the feeling of visiting in the home of a special friend. Stay overnight or as long as you like. |
